Where the code is

Turbo codes are usually found in two places:

• On the metal plate attached to the turbo body, usually in the central area.
• Stamped on the compressor housing of the turbo itself.

How to read the code

The code changes by manufacturer. Typical examples:

• Garrett: 6+4 digit format, e.g. 760698-5004S, or model GT1749V.
• BorgWarner / KKK: e.g. 5304-970-0102.
• Mitsubishi: e.g. 49335-00640.
• IHI: e.g. VF40.
