Smoke, oil leaks or insufficient boost can have different causes. Before suggesting a rebuild, we identify the turbo and assess both the unit and the cause of the failure.
Symptoms to check
- Oil leaks, smoke or unusual lubricant consumption.
- Unusual noise, reduced power or incorrect boost.
- Visible wheel damage or shaft play.
How we assess the turbo
- We ask for the turbo or OE code, vehicle, engine and symptoms.
- We assess the unit and whether overhaul is feasible.
- Where useful, we compare rebuilding your unit with a remanufactured or new turbo.
Replacing a turbo without fixing the underlying cause can lead to another failure. Work and timing are confirmed only after technical assessment.
